Ms. Hall

I’m Ms Hall. I am the Parental Engagement Worker at Golftyn CP School and I work within the Wellbeing Team alongside Mr Hoyle and Ms Lomas.

My role in school is to provide advice, support and information to the children and families within our school community.

I can help you with any worries that you may have in relation to your child’s education, attendance, behaviour, attitude to learning and general wellbeing. I am also here as someone to talk to if you need it!

I can meet with you in school hours for a face to face chat or via the phone if you would prefer. You can also find me on the Junior gate every morning, along with Mr Hoyle.

I am contactable via the school telephone number 01244 830569 or via email hallr36@hwbcymru.net.

Advice and support is confidential, although concerns relating to safeguarding of children will always be dealt with in accordance with the school’s Safeguarding Policy. I may not have all the answers but, hopefully, we can work out the answers together.

  • Support for pupils includes:
  • Promoting good attendance and punctuality.
  • Overcoming barriers to learning.
  • Promoting self- esteem and confidence.
  • Promoting positive behaviour and positive attitudes to learning.
  • Providing one to one support.
  • Support for families includes:
  • Providing information and signposting to other services in the local area.
  • Assistance in completing paperwork and school forms.
  • Advice and support in promoting positive behaviour at home.
  • Resolving poor attendance issues.
  • If your child is absent and we have not heard from you, I will be phoning home to check everything is ok and to find out the reason for absence. Please do not see this as me checking up on you, we are required now to have reasons for absence

Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you think that I can support you or your child in any way.

If a child is happy and content in their school and home environment, this will have a positive effect on their learning, helping them to thrive and meet their full potential.

I am contactable via the school telephone number 01244 830569 or via email hallr36@hwbcymru.net.

I look forward to speaking with you soon, Rachel
