On Friday 20th October we celebrated our Harvest Festival with performances from each year group, which was led by the Eco Committee, who did a wonderful job. ⭐️
Today, Mark and Chris from the Flintshire Food bank came to collect all of the food that had been generously donated by the families and children at Golftyn CP School.
They were absolutely delighted with the amount of food they had received and said that your donations as a school really will make a difference. 🧡
A special ‘shout out’ and thank you to the children in Mrs House’ class who sorted all of the food, ahead of Mark and Chris coming into collect the donations. It was a wonderful team effort. ❤️

Nannie Biscuit Grand Week in Wales Challenge
Thank you to everyone who sent their pennies in for Nanny Biscuit’s, Grand Week in Wales challenge.
The total raised was £112.96, which we presented to Debbie Owen and James Hunts from Nanny Biscuit.
They were thrilled with the amount, and explained that the amount raised will support 37 families within our community.
Fundraising for the Red Cross
A HUGE thank you to everyone that bought bracelets last week; we have raised an AMAZING £250 to send to the Red Cross.
Thank you to all the children that spent time making the bracelets; we really are a very kind and caring school.
Cake Sale for Evan
These pupils asked if they could organise a cake sale to raise money for their friend and ex-pupil Evan Gaine, who is currently undergoing treatment for Leukemia in hospital.
The fantastic amount of £223.50 was raised from the cake sale.
Evan visited school with his mum, he was very happy to be presented with the collection, and overwhelmed the kindness shown by the pupils who organised the cake sale and also for the support from everyone who bought cakes.

Morrisons Book Hamper Donation
Here is Miss Thompson presenting Emlyn a book hamper which was generously donated from Morrisons in Connah’s Quay. The book hamper was used as a raffle prize drawn during a whole school assembly to celebrate World Book Day.
We are very grateful to Morrisons in Connah’s Quay for their generous donation.
